Mop application – Remote elevator call system – Main View
Mobile application – Symbian With the MOP mobile application, users can indicate in advance where they are going, while the application handles corresponding elevator calls and informs the user at appropriate times. The application can be configured to meet typical usage patterns and needs, such as quick access to common destinations, scheduled calls based on estimated walk time, and continuous status information of the allocated elevators. Application was designed to be used at really high and complex buildings.
In this project I was charge of UI, graphics and user studies. This was a research project, not for commercial use. The main focus was in functions, usability and make working prototype, not in clean graphical look or final product.

Main view
Left top corner is departure floor and right corner is destination floor. White color around number indicate which number will be changed if user press favorite buttons once. After every change focus is moved between departure and destination floor boxs. Manual floor selection open by touching departure or destination box from the top.
Quick selection
User can select floors by swiping her/his finger across favorite buttons. Yellow line helps user to visualize selection.
Delayed elevator call
It is also possible make delayed elevator call with timer. The user can place an elevator call in advance by pressing and holding the Call button, which allows for setting a timed call by swiping around the circumference of the expanded button
Elevator allocation view
Elevator allocation view: the elevator is arriving from floor 7 (left), and the elevator has arrived to floor 5 and has opened its doors (right). The doors in the view open when the elevator physically arrives. In this view the user can get all information from application what s/he would get by standing in elevator lobby.
